Today in socials I learned a lot. We talked about the almost end of the French revolution. I learned about how a huge group of rioters invaded Bastille. The rioters wanted to free political prisoners. Political prisoners are people who had different political view as the king. Anyway the when the rioters invaded Bastille the king sent troops to stop the mob but the troops joined in and helped decapitate the Governor of Bastille. We also talked about the Elected General. The elected general is a group of representatives that talk with the king. Its kinda like the people Parliament. The Elected General is made up of the clergy, the aristocrats, and the middle class. I also learned about the march of the Parisian to Versailles to get the king and queen to see the condition of Paris. When the women marched the were joined by many followers and stormed in to the palace and demanded and made the king and queen go to Paris. I also learned about how the Elected General abolished feudal rights and privileges and also got rid of serfdom. I also learned that peasant burned down aristocrats house's. The peasents barged into the houses then torn down and destroyed all the documents that made them belong to their lord. Well thats most of what I learned in socials today.
